Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter Owners Association Membership
The Association was founded in 1997 and exists to encourage the restoration, preservation and ownership of original Bristol Channel pilot cutters.
There are normally two meetings a year, in early summer and in the autumn, and usually with a speaker. The ‘spring’ meeting is, when possible, held somewhere suitable for some of the cutters to be present. Recent venues include Swansea and Lydney, with autumn meetings at Gloucester and Bristol. The cutters attend several maritime events around the southwest coast during the season and there is an annual series of races in the Bristol Channel.
We produce an annual magazine the ‘Wave’.
The owners of the cutters are full members and form the committee. Associate membership is available to past owners and anyone who is interested in the restoration, preservation and sailing of original Bristol Channel Pilot Cutters.
The annual subscription for an associate member is currently £20.00. renewable on 1st April.
